In neither place have I ever found bread that even comes close to the soft inside/crusty outside Italian bread from DiCamillo. Every time I visit home my final stop before leaving is when I'll stop to get six large-sized, double-bagged, unsliced loaves. I freeze five of them, and a day or so before the loaf runs out, I move one from the freezer to the refrigerator. It stays fresh that way through all six loaves.
